The boys now all fear the beast even more. They fear what they really shouldn't fear at all. They always bring up the serpent thing now. They also say that the beast surrounds them as in it is in the water and surrounds the island. Each boy has evil inside of them and they all have fear inside of them which they should fear nothing. Each individual can choose how they deal with the evil inside them and how they show their fear. Jack spits out his evil right and left where as Simon shows no evil.
Another quote was that, " you must always keep the fire burning. The boys must always have hope if they ever want to be rescued from the island. Without hope there is no good, and they have no chance at survival.
I found that at the meeting that they had, all of the boys leave becaus ehtye are bored or angry becaus eof the fact that they changed the rules and regulations on the island. They also cover what they need to improve on and the complaints they have.
