In this part of the book the boys say again that they have seen the beast and are truly terrified. Piggy took some action this time and made a plan and came through with it. Piggy since the first day in the book has changed so much and also has nt changed at the same time. He shows the uncivil part of him as does everyone else, but at the same time he is civil and tries to stay the same as society. He does not like the fact that day by day he is changing to become more uncivil and more savage.
The pigs head has the most affect on the story this far. It tells and shows that the boys give an offering to the beast. It shows that there is evil and disgust in all things that are good. Also it shows that not everything is perfectly great.
Ralph and JAck seem to be fighting more and more as the book goes on, but yet nothing happens between them. Jack tries to become the new leader, but is turned down by the group of biys. I fouund this very interesting becasue thay had a chance to have a new leader and turned it down. jack did not like this and demanded some order.
