The final reading and blog of Lord of the Flies. The book ends much to quickly and leaves you hanging, and wondering. what will happen to the boys when they return home? Will they be able to be civil again? Or will they go someplace besides home? My questions are not answered in the book, but if you followed along throughout the book you should be able to figure them out on your own.
The last two chapters of the book are the most suspenseful and most savage and horrific to me. The reason I say this is because of how many kids die just because they have no rules or enforcement around them. It becomes a massacre around the island. Piggy is killed from a boulder rolled dwon by Roger, and falls to his death. The guards were punished by Jack and Jack's tribal followers were killed, well some of them were. Just when I thought ralph was done for too was right when the sailor came in and saved everybody especially Ralph from what they were doing and who they had become.
Will the boys ever be able to go back to their normal selves again? The reason I ask this is because of how fast the civilization inside of them left. And the things that they did to each other and the animals around them, some boys even killed other human beings, their friends at one time. How could you go back to civilization after becoming so savage and having to live with what you have done.
