Simon and Jesus Christ have a lot in common. In ways that you would not think a young boy could achieve. Simon knew throughout the story that the evil that everyone had was within themselves and the fact that he was willing to stand up and confront the evil. Simon though could not see what his fututre held for him, as did Jesus Christ.
The part in the story that I found ironic was when the boys gave the beast an offering of the pigs head. The beast is themselves, because there is no beast. So they gave the head to themselves?
When the two groups split up I found that interesting becasue of the fact that I already thought they kind of split up when the 'wall' was built. And the fact that scares me the most is the kids that went with Jack and now call him chief. The boys that went with Ralph are the smarter and less savage ones.

Simon and Jesus do have alot in common. I had the exact same opinion. It is weird that he is so calm about everything. His personality and actions are strange for such a young character.
